Privacy policy

This policy applies to Best Pizza & Brew, operated by Best Pizza & Brew Cardiff LLC, and to this website. It covers all 9 of our restaurants across San Diego County, Riverside County and Chandler, Arizona.

It does not cover the separate services we hand you off to. Online ordering, gift cards and rewards all run on other companies’ platforms, each with its own privacy policy. Those are listed further down.

We only collect what you type into a form. There are two on this site, and both ask for the same kinds of information:

• Catering and fundraiser requests: your name, email address, phone number, the restaurant you want, your event date, time and guest count, whether you want pickup or delivery, a delivery address if you choose delivery, your budget if you tell us, and any notes you write.
• Guest feedback: your name, email address, phone number, the restaurant you visited, a rating out of five, and your message.
• How you heard about us: an optional question on both forms. You can leave it blank and the form still submits.

Submissions are emailed to the restaurant you selected and to our management team. We use a third-party email service, Resend, to deliver them. We do not sell this information, and we do not add you to a marketing list from a catering or feedback form.

Approximate location. So the site can show your nearest restaurant, our hosting provider passes us a rough position derived from your IP address, along with a city and country. It is accurate to a city or region, not to an address, and it is often wrong by many miles. We do not store it on our servers.

Precise location.Only if you press “Use my exact location” and then grant your browser’s permission prompt. We never ask for it automatically, it is used only to sort the restaurant list by distance, and it is not sent to our servers or stored.

Analytics.When enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 through Google Tag Manager to understand which pages people use and which actions they take, such as starting an order, tapping a phone number or requesting directions. Those events record which restaurant they relate to. We may also use advertising tags from Meta, TikTok and Google Ads. Every one of these runs through Google Tag Manager, is switched off unless configured there, and sets its own cookies under its own provider’s policy.

Nothing is stored about you until you say yes. Google Tag Manager itself loads on every page, which means Google receives the ordinary details any web request carries, such as your IP address and browser. It loads in a restricted state: before you choose, no tag may store anything on your device, read anything already there, or use your data for advertising. Google’s own tags may send a basic, anonymous signal that a page was viewed, which is counted towards overall totals and is not tied to you. The Meta and TikTok tags do not run at all.

Your choice is passed to every tag.Accept and they switch to their full behavior; decline and they stay restricted. Each tag runs only with the consent it needs, so allowing analytics alone leaves the advertising tags off. If you change your mind the change is passed on straight away, without reloading the page. You can revisit your choice at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link at the foot of every page.

If JavaScript is turned off. The cookie banner needs JavaScript, so without it we cannot ask you. Your browser then loads a script-free version of Google Tag Manager, which cannot run scripts at all: Google Analytics and the advertising tags above do not load, and we do not use it to load anything else.

This site sets no cookies of its own. It stores three preferences in your browser’s local storage, all of which stay on your device and are never sent to us:

• bpb.selected-location stores the restaurant you chose, so we stop guessing.
• bpb.rewards-card-dismissed records that you closed the rewards card, so it stays closed.
• bpb.cookie-consent records your cookie choice and when you made it, so we do not ask again and can honour it on every page.

Clearing your browser’s site data removes all three. Any other cookies come from the analytics and advertising services above, or from the third-party sites listed below.

To answer your catering, fundraiser and feedback enquiries; to show you the right restaurant, hours and delivery window; to understand how the site is used so we can improve it; and to keep the site secure and working.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone except the service providers described here.

Some journeys leave this website. When they do, that company’s privacy policy governs what happens next, and we have no access to what you enter there:

• HungerRush: online ordering for eight restaurants, and the rewards programme.
• Toast: online ordering for Escondido.
• SecureTree: gift card purchases.
• Google, Meta and TikTok: analytics and advertising, when enabled.
• Vercel for hosting, and Resend for delivering form submissions by email.

If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request a copy of it, to ask us to delete or correct it, and to be free from discrimination for exercising those rights.

We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioural advertising without your consent.

To make a request, email info@bestpizzaandbrew.com. We will verify your request by replying to the address we hold and will respond within 45 days. An authorised agent may make a request on your behalf with written permission.

Catering, fundraiser and feedback emails are kept as long as we need them to serve you and to keep a record of the enquiry, and then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the analytics provider. The two browser preferences stay on your device until you clear them.

The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated on our server before being sent anywhere, and internal recipient addresses are never exposed to your browser. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

We will update this page when our practices change, and we will move the “last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
